 Joshila graduated from the University of Plymouth in 1998 with a BSc. (Hon’s) in Maritime Business & Law, and has been an Underwriter at Lloyd’s of London and in the Company market for the past 17 years working for a number of high profile insurers including ACE and Zurich. She started her insurance career in 1999 at C.R. Hill Syndicate, developing her skills into that of a Fine Art and Specie Underwriter. Recognised as a market leader for this Class of business, career highlights included insuring a number of prestigious museums around the world, personal art collections, exhibitions, classic cars, jewellery and precious commodities including gold and diamonds.
Joshila became Class Fine Art & Specie Underwriter at The Standard Syndicate 1884 in July 2016. The Standard Syndicate is an insurance provider in the Lloyd’s insurance market, established by The Standard Club. It insures marine and energy risks with a focus on providing a broad range of cover to the marine and energy industry sectors. The syndicate is managed by Charles Taylor Managing Agency Ltd. The Standard Club is a specialist marine and energy insurer and member of the International Group of Protection and Indemnity clubs owned by its shipowner members and controlled by a board of directors drawn from the membership.
